To move your domain name to Netplan you will need to follow the instructions shown below:
UK Domain Transfers
If your domain is a .co.uk , .org.uk, .me.uk, ltd.uk or plc.uk each domain has a IPS tag this tag is unique to the registrar holding the domain for you. The transfer of registrar procedure involves you changing the IPS to our IPS tag “NETPLANINTERNET” the methods for doing this vary if you have a login to your domain names a transfer option may be available, if it is you will need to insert our IPS tag when prompted. You should then receive confirmation that this request will be processed. Once the tag change is done the domain will move to Netplan automatically once safely received at Netplan we will email you to confirm that the transfer is complete.
If you do not have a login you can print out our Domain Transfer Form on to letterhead if a Company registration, sign and either fax or scan and email it to the current registrar of your domain name.
If neither of the above options are possible you are able to request a Tag change using the Nominet Registrants Online control panel http://www.nominet.org.uk/registrants/onlineservices/ and follow the instructions for change registrar.
International Domain Transfers
If your domain is an international domain such as .com, .net, .org or .biz the following will apply you will need to check the following before the transfer can be started. Netplan will make the request to your current registrar to move the domain to Netplan but first you will need to check the following points to make sure the domain is ready to move and that the transfer will not fail.
Please make sure, that there is no so-called 'registry lock' active for the domain to be transferred this can normally be disabled by yourself if you have a log in for the domain. Please verify, that the current registrar does not block the domain, resp. deactivates the blocking the domain to be transferred. If you have no log in for your domain you can use the Domain Transfer Form to fax or scan and email to your current provider.
Also please note the domain must have been active for at least 60 days at the current registrar, otherwise the transfer will fail.
the domain to be transferred must not be object of an active ICANN UDRP dispute procedure
the domain should be valid for at least 7 days, to ensure that the transfer succeeds within the time limits (5 days). this procedure will trigger email notifications to the owner and the admin contact of the domain to be transferred you will need to check that the current registrant and admin contacts email address are up todate.
